Veteran Loses House to House Jacker

I spoke with a Lady Veteran who struggles with getting her benefits that she has earned.  She has had to find her Veteran son who was kicked out on the street and made homeless by a man who Hijacks houses from unsuspecting Veterans and no one has caught him yet.  She told me this story and I picked my jaw off the floor after I heard it.  There are people taking advantage of our Military Veterans all across American and we can’t stand for it anymore… These people need our help… Please read her story.

Dotty Fowler

My only grandson has a dad that is a disabled Army Veteran, my oldest son. I gave my son my mobile home and went west to Utah. He lost the house and then his car because he has PTSD and physical injuries too and cannot defend himself so he lost the car and house. He delivers Pizza for Mama Mia’s and so I moved 1700 miles to help and now I drive with him on his deliveries four nights a week. We need help getting his car and house back. If just 500 people donated $20 the task would be done. Please help my wounded warrior. Then I need to take him to the VA and appeal their wrongly informed decision to give him only $130 in disability per month. He is in pain as he delivers these wonderful pizzas!!!!

She setup a GoFundMe account asking for donations but hasn’t gotten the response needed.

We are now helping these Veterans earn an income from 2KonnectKares.org and the 2KHeroesScholarship Program.  We are asking that you help us help her and her son.

Please donate today and we will help them earn the income needed…

What Makes a 2KHero?

What is a 2Khero? Or, better, what makes a hero? We all know about the Hollywood heroes … they rush into trouble to save those they love. They risk their lives for others and sometimes lose their own.

Jamie Jarboe  Is self-sacrifice in the face of mortal danger our guide? If so, there are hundreds of thousands of heroes in our military. In fact, just being a soldier, Marine, sailor or in the Air Force would make one a hero. I should add the Coast Guard as well. Maybe that’s the way it should be.

Who do you know who is a Veteran?

We all know someone who is a Veteran.  They don’t look any different… they seem to fit in, laugh at the same jokes, work hard, drive a car, have a job… well… most of them do anyway.  Some of the Veterans we know don’t have jobs… they struggle just like anyone else without a job… but they also have challenges to deal with. Combat caused mental, emotional, physical… It’s not as easy as you would think…

vet fear  You would think that after serving in our Military to protect us and keep us safe from terrorists and laying their life on the line that they would be treated fairly when getting back home… but that isn’t necessarily the case. In fact there are over 1 million military veterans who are without jobs and struggling to get a job to support themselves and their family.

2KonnectKares became aware of their struggle and has created a program to help these HEROs get a job to support themselves instead of living on welfare and losing faith in themselves. We can help!  We have developed the 2kHERO Scholarship Sponsorship Program that helps a veteran get back on their feet.  This program works and we are anxious to help as many veterans as are willing to get a job and make it a career.

2KonnectKares is asking for your help.  Will you help us provide a job for a veteran?  There are 2 ways to help. Donate a little and share this with as many as you can; on facebook, twitter, Linkedin, anywhere.  Even $5  or $20 helps.  The second way is to Sponsor a 2kHERO into the Scholarship program that will help a veteran start their own home business and grow it into a profit for them in just 4 short months.   The system works and we want to help tens of thousands of deserving veterans as we can.  Your support is needed.  Please donate today.

Go to www.Paypal.com and Send us a donation to donate@2konnectkares.org.  We will use these funds to help a veteran get a job that pays well, gets them off welfare and brings pride in a job well done.

Veteran losses hearing and employment…

#2kHero  #2KonnectKares   #VeteransHeroScholarshipProgram

When soldiers go to war, they often bring an unwanted souvenir home with them…a hearing loss. About Deafness/HOH interviewed a veteran, Doug Smith, who acquired a hearing loss:

Vet hearing loss 2

Smith Loses Hearing

Q: What happened in the military to cause your hearing loss?

A: I was a navy diver..and submarine sailor…I crushed my eardrums. This happened in 1976. Quite a few submarine sailors have hearing damage due to the pressures we deal with.

Q: How much of a hearing loss did you sustain?

A: Over 50 percent in both ears.

Smith Returns Home

Q: What kind of help did you get (medically) from the military? Were you given any assistive devices like a hearing aid (circa 1976 of course)?

A: The military gave no real help. The military didn’t really do anything about my ears. I got no disability to speak of. My case was transferred to the VA (Veterans Administration, now the Department of Veterans Affairs). I went for a hearing test and the VA said yep, you’ve got significant hearing loss. Have a nice day.

Q: That was 1976. Are things better today? If a veteran acquires hearing loss today, can that veteran look forward to better treatment than you got in 1976?

A: I would say probably not. Most of the medical help comes from the Veterans Admin. Don’t get me wrong. The military hospitals and the VA hospitals are great places, but there is not a whole lot medically they could do to help me.

Smith Gets Discharged

Q: What impact, if any, did this hearing loss have on your military career?

A: After 14 years (in the military) I was medically discharged for the hearing loss as well as a seizure disorder.

Articles on Veterans and Hearing Loss

Doug Smith is just one of many veterans affected by hearing loss. In addition to Mr. Smith, in one of my early college classes I encountered a veteran who had been deafened in the military.

This impacts their daily life as well as getting or sustaining a job to support themselves and their family.

Please consider donating today by visiting Paypal.com and sending a donation to donate@2konnectkares.org.  Anything helps, even $5.  But a donation of $250 will sponsor a veteran into a Home Business Scholarship that will build them a substantial income in just 4 months. Please donate today.

Decorated Veteran Asks “Why Am I Jobless?”

By Brad BartzBrad Bartz

The job I lost

Since I retired from the military, all I could get was one temporary job after another. I worked at Sears Grand in Cape Girardeau, MO but they lost so much business I was cut to 8 hours a week. I took whatever I could get and had to go job to job. I was at Lowes in the same town and was doing well, when an unethical department manager was making sexual comments about female customers. I tried to talk to management about his comments, and surprise, I was the one who got fired. I moved to Kerrville TX, and was at Home Depot, 8 hours/week again. I took a salvation army temp job at Christmas. Sigh, jobless again. I have many skills too.

What it’s like being unemployed

It is a terrible feeling. I see so many people, mostly youth, that do not even apply themselves at their work. Their work ethic is pathetic, yet here I am, a decorated 20 year navy veteran with many skills, professional character and great work ethic, out of work. It just does not make sense to me. What does a man have to do to make a living in this country? Is this how we give fellow Americans and military veterans opportunities? By throwing them in the street and ignoring them? I am losing hope. I work my butt off for anyone. I can drive fork lift, stock merchandise, am great with people, knowledgeable in tools and building materials, was an awesome cook in the military. Why am I jobless and why are so many others employed that stand around and cheat their employers? It is so demeaning and demoralizing! I need a miracle.

Advice

  • I do not let being unemployed stop me from helping others. I feel the need to volunteer often because people have needs and I was put on earth to be useful. At 48,I am fit and work hard so I use what I know to assist in any way I can. I love playing piano to raise money at Christmas for homeless. I will do what God gave me the ability to do. Never give up on YOU. Even when people will not hire you or give you a break, do not quit on YOU. God has not quit on you. Life is worth living and you are needed. You just have to find how to let yourself be needed. There is always hope.

Editors Note: a $5 donation helps… $250 will fund a scholarship to help build a veteran a business he/she can do at home and earn enough to pay the bills… won’t you help today and bring help to those who have protected us?  Please donate today through www.paypal.com/home use this email address to donate to… donate@2konnectkares.org

Bitter and Stressed Out by Unemployment

I wonder if you can feel the heartache and frustration in this veterans story?

Editor

The job I lost

I lost my sales job. It was bogus in the first place but I first left because it was so bad and then they wanted me to return. I did, but then I was basically given my last check.

What a joke, to say the least.

homeless-woman-in-barrio-triste-medellin What it’s like being unemployed

It has been the roughest times in my life to be unemployed right now. Everything is so hard and I don’t know who to reach out to at this point. It seems like every job that I get doesn’t last and isn’t working for me.

It’s rough and miserable. I don’t have money to do anything life is hard and cold it seems. I’ve never had this problem before in my life and I’ve never felt so bitter and stressed out before in my life.

Advice

  • I don’t have advice right now, to be honest. Sell drugs? I think that earns people a lot of cash and I’ve been considering it.
  • I think that would be the best option, not hardly but I’m actually considering it.
  • Honolulu really is a twisted city. In the long run you see it and realize how cruel and sick people are, counting myself at one time. There’s hatred and racist garbage that always makes things worse.

Veteran is Homeless and Unemployed…

Steven PhillipsI was in the Army 10 years. Got out after Iraq. It has been a constant slide til this past year I hit rock bottom. Divorced, homeless and unemployed I tried to commit suicide for the fourth time. I found myself in a veteran’s home where I was finally cared for. Social workers who listened, doctors who cared, I’m not completely home yet, and after my experiences in Iraq, I never will be, but at least I am finally learning to manage with the pain and baggage. Every day I weep, every day I hurt and ache, every day I long for someone to see the potential in me, a classically trained chef who can’t even get a job in fast food. Like I said, I’ll never be who I was, but I can learn to live with who I have become.

2KonnectKares is helping Unemployed Veterans build a business that they can run, earn from and grow it.  It works!  We need to help them make it work.  With a small donation from many, we all can help a little become a great gift to tens of thousands of Unemployed Veterans who need our help.  Please donate something today and share this with your friends.
2KonnectKares is a non-profit organization with the specific goal of helping any and all HERO’s who are unable to find work to support themselves and their families.  This is not just a dream.  This is a reality of creating work right from the start that will help them become what they want to become… respected, respectful citizens that can support themselves.

What is the Veteran’s HERO Scholarship Program?

Click on the link to the right to donate… Thank you…

The Veteran’s HERO Scholarship Program is one where 2KonnectKares is gathering funds together to implement a working program that helps a Veteran  who is unable to get a job because of health or disabilities issues, or is someone who has tried to find work and does not have the skills needed to secure a job other than menial labor or someone who isn’t making the income needed to provide even the basic necessities for him/herself or their family, make enough money monthly to support themselves financially.

The problem?  Lack of ability, lack of skill, lack of education, lack of opportunity, lack of trust.

It’s a growing problem, over 1 million veterans are impacted and 2KonnectKares has identified a solution that will help them get up on their feet  financiallState Unemploymenty with a stable monthly income, by opening up ability options, training, education, opportunity and  believing in them enough to reach out and help.

2KonnectKares has made alliances with many Home Based Businesses that are working together to start  a personal business for the Veteran, train and teach them how to manage their business and then help that  business get to a point of making enough money to maintain itself into the future.  Within 3 months the  Veteran then has a source of income that is stable, sustainable and growable to whatever level they choose to  take it.

This is not charity… this is not a handout… this is a hand up, a scholarship, a helping hand, a way to learnveteran-hire-me

some new skills and start a new career that will provide for them and their families for the rest of their lives.

No other Veteran support program implemented has taken on a task of this magnitude or this direct to the Veteran him/herself to provide an immediate employment solution.

This requires a huge investment in time and money to make it work, from people like you and me.  It’s taking the Veteran back to learning, helping them start a new business venture and then training them to be successful in their new career.

We are asking anyone and everyone who has ever been blessed by the defense of the Military Veteran to consider helping with this cause.  We ask that you donate some money to give back to those who have served us and who are struggling to get a job and live a normal, productive life as an honorable citizen of the USA.

Please donate something, anything today…   It is greatly appreciated…  and will be put to work to help a Veteran start a new career so they can provide for themselves.

God bless the USA Veteran!
